Visionary
Sixcia (pronounced six-see-ya) is a speaker, technology trainer, author, educator, social entrepreneur, and artist. She is the founder of Sixcia Business Development, a social responsiblity consulting firm, artit at Six Art Studio (proceeds benefit non-profits), and Caritas Smile, a non-profit with a mission to empower communities in need. Volunteers in its signature program, Take a Trip Change A Life, perform acts of human kindness (building homes and schools, offering art and English programs, and mindfulness programs) in orphanages, hospitals, and poverty stricken communities in the U.S. and developing countries, mainly in Dominican Republic. During Covid - 19, Sixcia launched SixArtStudio.com where she creates one of a kind wall and table fluid art pieces. The proceeds of her work go towards helping rural communities in Dominican Republic to buy food, pay for electricity, medical treatments, and pay for girls to attend school. Sixcia's company is one of 13 national educators for Google whose main goal is to help to educate small businesses and nonprofit on how to grow their business online. Caritas Smile is a digital Technology partner. She has helped to train, educate and inspire over 10K businesses. Sixcia is the author of Tapping Into The Hispanic Market: Connect. Engage. Innovate. She writes feature stories for magazines like Cosmo Latina, and speaks at universities, business centers, chambers, and non-profit organizations. Sixcia is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she earned a BA in Communication Studies, a BA in Spanish and a minor in International Development. She has worked and studied at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government, and has completed graduate work at Schiller International University in Paris, France. Currently Sixcia is visiting lecturer at the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York.Â
