Our jewelry and unique hair accessories are created by hand in Washington, DC using an array of beads from the far corners of the globe. Our products are known for color, texture and quality of classic, timeless designs. Our customers range in age from 6 to 106. Our distinctive products are Mei Fa (pronounced "may fah") Hairstyx. Mei Fa means "Beautiful Hair" in Chinese. This product is patented, and holds hair up without damage and with comfort better than any other hair accessory in the market. We have been told our jewelry (necklaces, earrings and bracelets) is wearable, colorful, durable and goes with many different outfits. Many of our pieces have a "one of a kind" aura to them. Our products are made with care and soul.

In 1978 Shaune Bazner invented Mei Fa Hairstyx out of a personal need to wear her hair up easily and securely. She was a dancer, and wanted to use something more interesting and beautiful than rubber bands or other unattractive devices. The Hairstyx holds ALL types of hair, you just need hair 5 inches or longer to use them successfully. Many people are not aware of how to use our Hairstyx properly until we show them how easy it is. Each pair of Mei Fa Hairstyx comes with a gift pouch and an instruction pamphlet. We also offer a DVD or video for those who want a “movie” guide, in addition to the printed instructions. Seeing is believing.

All of our products are hand-crafted by trained, expert crafts-women in our Washington, DC studio. We stand behind our quality and offer a wide-range of services to ensure customer satisfaction, like matching lost earrings or Hairstyx. Our Company currently offers internships to the local schools. These are invaluable for young women interested in starting their own product-based business. The longer they stay with us, the more skills and information they acquire to assess what it takes to be successful. We enjoy providing this opportunity, as there is always a healthy give and take between us. Interns may stay as long as they want.
