2003 Grant Award Recipient
Attitudes and Attire
On August 2, 2003, at the eWomenNetwork Third Annual International
Conference and Business Expo, the eWomenNetwork Foundation awarded a $3000
grant to Attitudes and Attire, a Dallas 501(c)(3) organization. Attitudes
and Attire is dedicated to promoting personal growth for disadvantaged
women by helping them build self-esteem, work ethics and confidence for
the workplace.
Attitudes and Attire was chosen from many applications received from
Dallas-area 501(c)(3) programs that addressed the issues of mental/physical
health of underprivileged women and girls. Applicants were matched against
a list of criteria established by the Foundation. There followed a lengthy
evaluation process, including a site visit, which resulted in several
recommendations to the Dallas Selection Committee. The Committee, which
included eWomenNetwork members Mary Boggs, Mary Ann Thompson-Frenk and Diane Lampe,
decided unanimously to support Attitudes and Attire.
During the upcoming year, the Foundation will work closely with Attitudes
and Attire to support their great work in helping economically underprivileged
women prepare for a return to the workplace. For more information, visit
their web site at www.attitudesandattire.org.

Lyn Berman,
Attitudes and Attire Executive Director,
and Sandra Yancey,
Founder and CEO of eWomenNetwork.
