We Need Your Help!

The generous spirit and desire by eWomenNetwork members and supporters to help the Hurricane Katrina evacuees has been overwhelming and humbling.

I have personally visited Dallas’ Convention Center and spoken to police officers, evacuees and officials at the American Red Cross.

The information gained from these discussions, combined with your outpouring encouragement, have led us to develop a value-added strategy and plan that will have a positive, significant and sustainable long-term impact on many of the evacuees.

In concert with the guiding principles and philosophies of the eWomenNetwork Foundation, we are announcing our plan to provide assistance and seeking your support to implement it.

Our Strategy:

I know we are thankful for the millions who have already responded to providing the immediate relief required by the evacuees. Our strategy, however, will be to compliment these efforts by serving the long-term needs once the immediate relief has been accomplished.

To that end, the eWomenNetwork Foundation will embark on a large-scale strategy across North America to adopt families (preferably single-mom, women business owners) who have lost everything and have been forced to relocate around the nation and Canada.  Participating eWomenNetwork chapters will leverage their local resources and utilize dollars gathered through this fundraising effort to provide everything from apartment housing, furniture and employment assistance, to electrical/gas support, groceries and school supplies for their children.

We further commit to “femtoring”™ and tracking the progress of these adopted families on a regular basis. As they establish a new and powerful network filled with the resources, ideas, information and tools, they will create a new beginning which will yield long-term results.  We will apprise you regularly by publishing these success stories through our web site, radio show, email updates and the 2006 International Conference.

As with all the Foundation dollars we collect, you will see first-hand how your contributions are actually being used to create a better life for our adopted families displaced by Hurricane Katrina!

We request your support and generosity:

As I have often said, none of us ever makes it alone.  I can’t begin to capture the words to describe the feeling of loneliness so many of the evacuees are experiencing, even when spending their time with thousands of others on the ground floor of the Convention Center.

Together we can make an important and positive impact on this tragedy.  Your participation and donation is essential to rebuilding the lives of many.  I kindly and respectfully ask for you to open your hearts, and yes, your purse as well, to help us help others so desperate for our assistance.

Remember, networking at its best is when you can help someone who can never pay you back.  Let’s join together to make a profound difference.

Let me take this time to thank you in advance for what I know will be an overwhelming response to this request.  There’s one thing I know for sure about eWomenNetwork members and supporters, we aren’t just “go-getters”—we’re “go-givers” as well!

Please know that no donation is too small.  I’ve long learned that doing little things usually leads to BIG RESULTS!

100% of the money donated will go directly to assisting those families we adopt.

In gratitude ~
