  • Keynote: Glenda Hatchett

    After graduating from Emory University School of Law and completing a coveted clerkship in the U.S. Federal Courts, Glenda Hatchett became the highest-ranking African-American woman at Delta Air Lines. She served in dual roles as a senior attorney at Delta, litigating cases in federal courts throughout the country, and Manager of Public Relations, supervising global crisis management and media relations for all of Europe, Asia and the U.S. Ebony Magazine named Glenda Hatchett one of the "100 Best and Brightest Women in Corporate America" due to her outstanding contributions.

    She left Delta Air Lines in order to accept an appointment as Chief Presiding Judge of the Fulton County Juvenile Court and became Georgia’s first African-American Chief Presiding Judge of a state court and department head of one of the largest juvenile court systems in the country. Currently, Glenda Hatchett presides over the syndicated show, "Judge Hatchett", and is author of the national best-seller, "Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say". She serves on several Boards and resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her two sons.

While attending the University, he landed a job fixing computers for the Human Factors Research Laboratory. Over a three year period, he rose to become head engineer of the lab while earning scholarships from the U.S. Navy and the FAA building flight and driving simulators. It was also during this time he started a computer consulting business. In April 1994, after three years at the University, he formed The Geek Squad with $200. During the eWomenNetwork Wisdom Circle, each person at the table will get an opportunity to present an issue or problem that she is seeking to resolve or achieve, and briefly what she has already tried that has not worked thus far. She then invites the input and resourcefulness of the group. Then, in turn, each member of the Wisdom Circle will offer her suggestions, without telling her what to do. The recipient of this wisdom simply listens as each woman offers suggested actions. At the conclusion of the offerings, she simply summarizes key messages she is taking away from their counsel. In this way, the knowledge and perspective of others is shared, but not deliberated, so full creativity can come to the fore without censoring or judgment.
