Karen Dayan

Senior marketing manager in the Microsoft Office Live group
 

Karen Dayan is a senior marketing manager in the Microsoft Office Live group. She is responsible for driving awareness and demand for Microsoft’s new Office Live services targeted at small businesses.

Karen is a 13 year veteran at Microsoft and has held a variety of strategic marketing positions, primarily focused on the small business segment, both at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond and abroad. Karen currently leads the marketing outreach efforts for the Microsoft Office Live Small Business group. She is an expert in digital marketing and has presented to thousands of small business in a variety of forums on how to build a professional Web presence and promote their business online.

Karen started her career as one of the first 15 employees at Microsoft Israel where she led the marketing and launch efforts of both Windows 95 and Office 95 and pioneered building breadth partner programs for the subsidiary. She then took on a management role in Microsoft’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) headquarters to drive business strategy across the region for small and medium business as well as outreach programs for partners which service these segments. Karen was recruited to Microsoft HQ from the field to senior program management role in the world-wide Sales and Marketing business planning group. Following her business planning role, Karen was responsible for small business marketing strategy in the Microsoft Office business division. Karen has held both product management and product marketing position over the last 2 years in the Microsoft Office Live group.
